Communication material

  • Press release ?
    • I suggest three languages (for both Vlamingen & Francophones, but also English such as New Europe, the Bulletin, etc.)  Not translations but three different versions...
    • @Marievh -> French version
    • @cdn & @HoratioNelson -> Dutch version
    • @alexajoyce -> English version

  • Press contact people: are the above people ready to also be the media contact person for the press releases in question?
  • Press conference ?
    • I suggest to make sure we have the RIGHT timing for this + We must have something to say!  Possibly around August 12 (1 month before the event)

I am ready to get the releases set up in Social Media Press Release format... Just let me know when they are final and I'll create them.

There are some key events which we need to take into consideration when planning the timing starting to promote the event to the press.

1. when we are able to start selling tickets to members of the public. This will be in place very soon
2. when we have finalised some sponsors so we can actually give them some exposure in the press and have logos on twestival.be
3. 8 August we'll close the call for charity projects and will be in a better position to say where the money raised may go
4. 12 August when we open up the public voting for people to decide which charities to support

This is great stuff, Alexa. Thanks for producing the first draft! I didn't have the time over the last few days to get this going (and the selection of the charities turns out to be a very time-consuming process, so I will not have much time in the days to come either). Now, who is producing the Dutch and French versions?
